Anyone who knows me, knows that I have a million things racing through my mind at any given moment. Being a full-time student, mother of three, and a stepmother, comes with a lot of responsibility and there is always work to be done. Doctors appointments, deadlines, cleaning, school pick ups and drop offs, laundry, dishes, groceries, zoom calls, group projects, making lunches (did I mention all the laundry?!) It can get a little overwhelming. I am in desperate need of a means of coping and reorganizing my thoughts so that I can be present and in the moment.

This leads me to my inquiry topic: Mindfulness.

What is mindfulness? How is it achieved? Why is it useful? And how can I apply it to my life, the lives of my children and ultimately teach it in my future classrooms? These are all things that I am hopeful to learn and apply through this inquiry project.
